Paste this into any HTML document. Click here to view an HTML sample page. (option #2) ADD CODE TO ANY .js FILE: To add the message to any .js file like the menu.js or sidebar.js: Select and copy the following code in the box below. Paste this into any .js file. Or, you can copy all the code from the "big-button.js" in the "welcome_button" folder and paste that code into any .js file. OPTIONS: Using Other Buttons: In the "extras" folder you will find 24 other sets of buttons. Copy any of these button sets into the "welcome_button" folder and rename them to "play.jpg" and "stop.jpg". Use all lowercase letters. See the buttons.htm to view your button choices. EXAMPLE: Right click and copy the "WINDOWS-play.jpg" and "WINDOWS-stop.jpg" in the "extras" folder. Open the "welcome_button" folder. Delete the "play.jpg" and "stop.jpg". Right click and choose "paste". Then rename these pasted buttons to "play.jpg" and "stop.jpg". Making Your Own Buttons: You can create your own "play.jpg" and "stop.jpg" custom buttons. Make these 57 x 57 pixel standard .jpg images. Then place these in the "welcome_button" folder. That is all you need to do. Also please see "Button Images Not Working" below. Button Background Colors: In the Flash code for the button edit the bgcolor=#FFFFFF in 2 places to change the Flash background color. The PSD files: PSD files for these images can be found in the "extras" then in the "PSD_files" subfolder. PSD files are layered image files that are used when editing in Photoshop and some other graphics programs. Mp3 File Length Limits: There are no set limits on the length or file size for this application. You can use any .mp3 file for this message. It can be music or it can be a sound file. Floating DIV: The code included with this add-on includes a floating DIV option. This is used so you can locate the button anywhere on the page rather than the area where the code is located. To use this option, in the "big-button.js" file edit the "USE FLOATING DIV" to a yes. Then edit the X and Y locations to move the button around on the page. Adding More Than One Message Button: At this time this application is set to display only one welcome message. Click here to check for updates. Troubleshooting: If you do the steps above and the Flash welcome button is not working:
If you have replaced the play.jpg and stop.jpg in the "welcome_button" folder and they are not showing up on the page here are some possible reasons.
